Advanced Orchestra

Age: 11+

Time: Mondays, 11:10am - 12:40pm

Annual Class Fee: $180*

Instructor: Lewis Rosove

The Advanced Orchestra is the pinnacle of GCHFA’s string ensembles. Admittance into this group is by audition only, as it is designed for highly skilled string players who are ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding repertoire.

Our repertoire spans a wide range of styles and periods, from classical masterpieces to contemporary compositions. Each piece is carefully selected to push the boundaries of our musicians' abilities, offering them the opportunity to master intricate passages, complex rhythms, and expressive phrasing.

In addition to the two annual GCHFA concerts, Advanced Orchestra members will have performance opportunities such as special events, community engagements, and Music Performance Assessments (MPA).  In Advanced Orchestra, students will not only refine their technical skills but also develop a collaborative spirit and an appreciation for the art of ensemble playing.

*Classes would be 3x this price without the generosity of our annual donors!

A yearly, non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 per student is due at time of registration;

this fee will increase to $125 on July 29, and to $135 on August 31.
