Intermediate Rhythm Section
Tailored for drummers, bassists, pianists, and guitarists with at least a year of experience in Jazz Lab, Intermediate Rhythm Section is a journey into the more sophisticated realms of jazz music, including the dynamic styles of funk, Latin, and jazz waltz. Over a comprehensive six-week program, students will not only refine their technical skills but also enhance their ability to communicate and collaborate within a rhythm section, a cornerstone of compelling jazz performance.
Designed to bridge the gap between foundational knowledge and advanced performance, this class emphasizes the importance of timing, groove, and the nuanced interplay between instruments. Participants will engage in intensive sessions focusing on the role of each instrument in creating the unique textures and rhythms of different jazz styles.
