Music Theory 1
Music Theory is an essential foundation for anyone aspiring to sing or play an instrument. It combines theoretical and practical aspects to help students understand the intricacies of how music works. By strengthening music theory skills, students gain the ability to write, interpret, and perform music with greater depth and understanding.

At GCHFA, we recognize the importance of integrating music theory into our music classes and want to ensure that they receive a comprehensive musical education. For students enrolled in Beginning Band and Applied Strings (10+), Music Theory I is automatically included in the annual class fee.

For other interested students aged 10 and above, Theory I is available for a fee of $50*.
*Classes would be 3x this price without the generosity of our annual donors!
A yearly, non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 per student is due at time of registration;
this fee will increase to $125 on July 29, and to $135 on August 31.
